ASH GUPTA - Principal Audiologist
Growing up in Melbourne, I chose to pursue audiology because of the blend of patient care and geeky tech of hearing aids. Since completing a Master of Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne back in 2000, I have helped thousands of people restore their hearing, and quality of life. I have been a clinical trainer and mentor, and I’ve worked to optimise clinical protocols, best practice, and patient outcomes. I have also been involved in hearing device testing and evaluation.
There is no single ‘best’ hearing aid. We have access to over 300 models. One-size-fits-all audiology is inherently compromised and, in my opinion, boring.
I am married with three children. I love golf, the Hawthorn Football Club, and I’m a little obsessed with all things automotive.
JOHN TRAMPEVSKI - Principal Audiologist
Born and raised in Melbourne, I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Clinical Audiology in 2003. With extensive clinical experience, I have been instrumental in taking hundreds of graduate audiologists under my wing and helping them develop into world-class clinicians. As a hearing device product manager, I have worked closely with manufacturers at the forefront of technology.
Hearing Consultants was born from recognition that the profession was becoming too commercial. I want to be accountable to my patients, not company shareholders.
I live with my partner and two children. I am a Collingwood Football Club tragic, a foodie, and love test cricket.
MAHA ARSHAD - Practice Manager
Maha is the all-knowing anchor that oversees our daily operations. Coming from a Public Relations background, she has gained a loyal following in assisting audiology patients in the local area. Whether you need batteries, pairing of your new mobile phone to your hearing aids, or a laboratory-grade service of your devices, Maha has the experience and expertise to address your needs on the spot – no appointment necessary.
Maha lives with her husband. She enjoys baking, reading and practicing meditation. But her calm persona also hides an adventurous streak.
What Makes Us Different
With over 40yrs of collective clinical experience, you are in good hands.
Unlike most providers in audiology, we are not owned by a hearing aid manufacturer. We are not locked into exclusive supply agreements which block access to alternative technologies. Instead, we are free to choose the best possible devices that suit individual patient needs. Audiology without compromise.
We believe in full transparency – we don’t hide behind white labelling of hearing devices.
We are here for the local community – you will always speak to someone in the clinic, not a call centre.
Most of all, we pride ourselves on honesty, ethical conduct, and putting the patient at the centre of every decision. These are not just words, they define who we are and what we stand for.
